Alive...
We are all still alive and well, the past few weeks have been very hectic so no time for blogging. Logan recovered from his garbage poisoning, but still tries to get into anything and everything he can. Sophie is doing well also, you would never know she was as sick as she was only a few months ago. Baylee has a broken toe, but still manages to jump on the kitchen table the minute I leave the house so I am not worried, pretty sure thats how she broke it too.
This cute little bugger is Doc (named by Nikolas) the newest member of the rescue I work with. He was found wandering on the side of the road on the reserve and a kind gentleman picked him up and took him to the vet as he was injured.
The poor little guy's paw is broken and the pad of his foot is actually flipped up to the top.

Miss Congeniality
She is essentially a 10lb out of control mutt. No idea what breed she is, has webbed feel like a retriever but the energy of a jack russell.
She is incredibly smart and taught herself to sit within an hour, I was teaching Logan to sit one day and she was just watching us and by the time we were done she was sitting to.
She has the whole puppy dog eye thing down to an art.
Archie loves her.....
She is everyone's friend and her and Sophie often get in trouble together, there is no end to their playing.

Why I Love Dogs
Some recent events in my life have made me realize even more than I already do just how much easier dogs have it than people.
1) Dogs cannot talk, thus avoiding conflict, hurt feelings, misunderstandings and opening your mouth before the words are processed in your head (been there many a time, usually its funny but more often than not embarrassing).
2) Dogs do not judge, color, size, background and gender do not matter to them. (Although I do think sometimes Rylee gives me the "your such a dummy" look).
3) Arguments between dogs (in my house at least) last a few moments and within seconds they are back to playing with each other.
4) Dogs are forgiving. No matter how much they have been hurt by someone they always seem to find the courage to forgive.
5) Dogs do not have to worry about having enough money.
6) If your a dog its OK if you are lazy and want to sleep all day once and awhile.
I could go on and on but you get my point, I am sure if they could talk they would tell us otherwise. But at this moment I really want to come back as a dog in my next life. Preferably as either my own or one of a few people I know....

TOOOOO COLD!!!
With all the cold weather, wind & snow the past few days the dogs are not really liking the idea of going outside. The go out, do their business and then head right back in, they much prefer to stay in the warmth and sleep......
