Sleeping Beauties

Zoey loves Nik which is baffling to be honest. She does not really like anyone, I am ok but I am source of food and treats. I was the only one that could pick her up until about a week ago, she will happily let Nik now. She disappears to his room even when he is not here and will sleep on his bed waiting for her boy to come back.

Cody

I was not a huge fan of puppies since Sophie had hers, it was not a very good experience, that was until I met Cody....

He is going to meet a family today and hopefully they will adopt him, if they choose not to they are crazy!

He slept in the hallway with Uncle Logan last night and I did not hear a peep out of him for almost 8 hours until he whined to go outside. He has not had an accident which I think is pretty good for only being a few months old. He LOVES to cuddle on the couch, he is playful but gentle with the little dogs, does not even notice the cats, listens well and the cute little ears are the best.

Its a good thing I am not fostering lately, we have had too many cute little ones come in and I have no more room at the inn to fall in love!

Moo

This is the last member of the house, Moo my 3 year old Holland Lop. She is super sweet and loves to give little bunny kisses.

This is Moo's audience......

Believe it or not the gate is up for the safety of everyone but Moo, she is a bit of a grouch, the cats are ok but she puts the run on the dogs. Kind of funny to watch when the little bunny is chasing the big golden retriever.

Junie Bug

Meet Junie....isnt she the sweetest.
I must admit I am smitten with this little girl so its a good thing I am only watching her for one night while her foster mom is away.
She is an absolute doll, loves to cuddle, play well with even the little dogs, loves to fetch and is just plain cute.
Right now she is trying to figure out how to fit all the toys in her mouth.
She does give the energizer bunny a run for its money though, we spend over an hour in the field playing fetch and she still keeps going.
I am kind of sad she has to go home tonight :-(

Pet Parrot

This is my nephew Nik, a.k.a. the parrot.

He now lives with me part-time and I think its starting to rub off on him. I went to have a shower the other night and left him to "babysit" the dogs. While in there I could still hear him and have discovered the following words are now a regular part of his vocabulary:

sit, stay, on your bed, wait, lay down, Casey knock it off, Sophie go to your room (her room is the porch and she has to go there when she is being extra annoying), enough and if you dont behave you are going for a time out in your kennel.

It was cute but I guess I better start watching what I say.

Opinions

So I get everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether or not you agree with it is up to you. I myself take the approach of listening, taking in what that person has to say and when I walk away if I take or leave it that is my business no one else’s. I am not one to intentionally hurt others feelings and in turn have a very hard time when someone says or does thing to hurt mine. Maybe they do not realize it or maybe they do not care. How one can go through life not caring is beyond me but must make for a very unhappy one. Then again on the same hand I find myself jealous of them as I find one of my biggest flaws is that I care too much, often about people who could care less about me. But does anyone ever take a step back to look at the situation? Do you have the whole story or are you relying on he said/she said knowing fully that there are always 3 sides to every story, his, hers and the truth which is somewhere in between? I am a thinker and a fixer, which results in many sleepless nights trying to figure out how to fix a situation that will make everyone happy. I hate conflict and will try to avoid it at all costs, but I am still willing to stand up for what I believe in, but I am also a grown up now and while in conflict will not lower myself to a junior high school drama queen with immature antics of name calling, mud slinging and backstabbing. But why do some people feel this is necessary? Does it really make them feel better to hurt others or do they just do it for the attention, poor me factor? Do they put themselves in that persons shoes and realize what they must be feeling, or do they even care? For the most part I keep my opinion to myself and deal with my problems on my own rather than asking for help, which leads to a lot of build up that sometimes needs releasing. So this is my release, not directed at anyone or anything in particular, just a vent, because in the grand scheme of things I am a nobody just like everyone else.

So when people ask why I love my dogs so much, this is why….would they ever do anything to intentionally hurt me, no, do they love me for who I am, yes.

Okay I feel better now…
